Supersauze 2010 is coming soon. The second stage of the Superenduro Pro Circuit will be held on 3 July 4 in Sauze d’Oulx. The heat is on and the atmosphere we breathe is a mixture of curiosity and big expectation. The organization seems willing not only to repeat the huge success of last year but to do even better.
The characteristics of this event are the ones of an international competition with important riders coming from across Europe and beyond, we remember all of the presence of Brian Lopes and the return of Karim Amour after a big injury, and especially with long and beautiful special stages that really much up with what should be a PRO Superenduro race.
Sauze Freeride trails are really complete and recognized worldwide for their variability and beauty, surrounded by beautiful mountains, especially in this period of flowering in which forests and meadows are filled with colors.
The race will take place on four special stages on Sunday, Easy Clotes, two runs of Supersauze and the introduction of Rock Master and Fly to Bali instead of Karamell. On Saturday at 15:00, instead, will start the long awaited secret stage on a new track expressly built for the occasion. Those who expect a little demo stage will be surprised. This is not to take home a simple night prologue but a special stage in all respects.
On Sunday the competitors can rely on the Sportinia and Black Rocks lift, but they will still have to climb from Sportinia to the start of Supersauze during the transfers between the first and second special.

He will leave Laguna Beach California to return to the mountains overlooking the balcony of the Alps where Brian had already been a couple of years ago during a trip to Europe.
Sunday dozens of bikers have already locked their bike to the chairlift Prariond-Sportinia to enjoy a preview of this beautiful resort locations and in the coming days will also open the new sections of the Supersauze track that are currently being finalized.
It’s also increasing the curiosity for the first special secret track in the history of the Superenduro, which will begin Saturday at 16:30 and will be revealed to competitors only a few minutes before the start!

It’s also confirmed the presence of the best italian Superenduro specialists and of the riders of the Handiriders Assos, that have become loyal participants and great fans of Sauze d’Oulx.

Great news for SUPERSAUZE, the Superenduro PRO RACE most attended of the summer season that will present two premieres for its third edition.

Today was held the last inspection of the Superenduro and Sauze In staff in order to define the race course that will be new for 40% using many routes of Sauze Freeride one of the most appreciated resort by the bikers of all Europe.

For the first time in the history of Superenduro the race will be over two days, with Saturday morning and early afternoon dedicated to testing the route by all competitors and the first special stage is valid for the ranking of the race which will start at 16.30.
But the real Supersauze news is that the special stage on Saturday will be completely new, secret, revealed to competitors a few minutes before the start. This is a “first time” for Superenduro but a formula widely used abroad, and especially often required by its competitors. A great way to balance those who have the chance to try the route before with whom, by contrast, comes from afar and does not try the stages until the the Sunday.

The Saturday special stage is valid as a prologue and therefore optional, but with significant lap times, more significant for the final ranking than the citizen prologue.

On Saturday evening meeting point at Ostaria dei Vagabondi for Superenduro Party and the next day on Sunday, 4 special stages: the classic Easy Clotes for the occasion will be sleek with new banks and Supersauze, 1000 meters in altitude and a breathtaking new special stage along one of the most appreciated routes of Sauze Freeride: ROCK MASTER + FLY TO BALI.

Sauze d’Oulx once again stands as the highlight of the summer of Superenduro, an entire station that for two days dyes the color of larch and rhododendron typical of the paths of the Balcony of the Alps and has chosen the Mountain Bike as tourist resource development that in the first three years has received acclaim from thousands of riders, operators, pilots, media that has brought their own wheels for a walk to the Alpi Bike Resort station.

The Superenduro organization committee is sorry to announce that the PRO Superenduro race in Livigno, scheduled for June 19th to 20th, has to be cancelled.

After several inspections in Livigno during the last days, it has been decided to cancel the race due to snow on some tracks that were chosen for the special requirements of the PRO Superenduro race. While the trails of the Swatch Bikepark Mottolino are completely free of snow and ridable, the chosen other ones, located at the top of the mountain, are still partially covered with snow. The Superenduro organization committee considered other solutions. But due to the condition of the highest trails, the race wouldn’t allow the participants to discover the beautiful and unique landscapes Livigno offers during the summer season. These trails were an elemental part of the race.

Franco Monchiero, Superenduro Race director, points out: “The race we could have organized wouldn’t completely satisfy the expectations of the participants. So we prefer to cancel this tour stop. We are sure Livigno is a great location for a PRO Superenduro race, but we don’t want to organize the first race in Livigno if we are not able to guarantee the participants the best riding experience.”

Giorgio Zini, Livigno Touristic Board director: “We feel sorry for having to cancel the race: The Superenduro and its concept perfectly reflects the diversified options that the mountain bike destination Livigno offers: The combination of the Swatch Bikepark Mottolino and the numerous cross country trails guarantee a 360° experience. We are looking forward to a great PRO Superenduro race in Livigno next year. The final date for 2011 will be announced in the near future.”
