TRAILS DESCRIPTION

- SATURDAY PROLOGUE STAGE
Short and fast ring that develops through the old town of Finalmarina.
600 meters in total length.
- SUNDAY
From central square of Finalmarina up to San Bernardino. This leads to “sentiero dei ciappi” route and after approximately 100m starts the first PS 6km
1) Dolmen Trail 2km
After PS1 follow the road direction Orco Feglino. Once in town take the road on the left direction Carbuta. Follow the main road until you see the Church of San Rocco. Turn right and after 1km you will reach Pian Merlino. 7,6km
2) Pian Merlino 3,5km
After the PS4 from Feglino town go back for the last time to the Church of San Rocco. 3,5km
3) Pian Marino 2,5km
After PS3 ride for 5km to go back to Finalmarina for the time control
TIME CONTROL
From Piazza Vittorio Emanuele II starts the second lap towords Calvisio. Follow the river till the crossroad with the Roman Street named Giulia Augusta, where you have to turn right direction Verzi. Nearby the Verzi village take the dirt road on the left, that leads you on the roman bridge track. Along this track, near the third bridge follow the right trail that is marked with a red symbol. You will arrive to the Altopiano delle Manie. Ones you reach the “La Grotta” tavern, you will meet another crossroad. Take your left and reach the main street Le Manie nearby the restaurant Ferrin. Take again your left and follow the street till a tombstone, from where starts a dirt road that will take you to the high point of Bric dei Crovi, starting point of the PS4. 10,5km
4) DH Donne 4,8km
Go back to Altopiano delle Manie. Follow again the main street till the cross road to the Le Manie and turn left. After a couple km, just past the tavern of the Brig, there is a big turn where starts the last stage. 4,8km
5) Briga 3km
After the PS5 go back to Finalmarina for the last time control.

To take part of the race foreign bikers need to have a card recognized by the UCI (international federation). There is the opportunity to make a daily card at the race office in Sauze d’Oulx on the days of the event, but you will need to have an Italian medical certificate for competitive sports (cycling).

HOW TO GET THERE

Finale Ligure is accessible by car along the motorway (A10) Genoa-Ventimiglia with exit at Finale Ligure when coming from Genoa or from the French border, while following the (A6) and then (A10) for those coming from Turin. An alternative route is the main road Aurelia, but for much of the route follows the coast and crosses towns and is often characterized by a more local traffic.

Yesterday in Sauze d’Oulx a high level competition took place and once again the Superenduro makes it step in the history of World Enduro biking.
A tough race for more than 300 bikers, who not only competed on 7 special stages of the 4th PRO race of the Superenduro powered by SRAM circuit, but also took part at the Vibram Enduro MTB Trophy of the Nations, for the first time organized outside the French borders.
“Choosing Italy as the first foreign country to host the EMTN was a natural solution” says Fred Glo, the inventor of this format and the French Enduro Series, “After France, Italy is the country that believes more in enduro and after 4 years of Superenduro we realized that the Italian organizers were the only ones we could pass the baton to”.
