DESCRIPTION OF COURSES
PROLOGUE, Saturday
A mixture of off-road and roads, arriving in the centre of the town.
SPECIAL STAGES, Sunday
Riders will cover three zones during the race: Alpe Groppera and Alpe Boscone. They will compete over two special stages prepared by Madebike.
To reach PS1, riders will first take the Cabinovia Larici ski lift, the ride for a few hundred metres into the gorge. Starting in the meadows it then joins the Montalto trail through a fast, flowing section. It arrives in Arlecchino where the public will be able to watch the last part of the stage.
The second transfer will be pedalled and riders will climb the road to Motta for 4km and climbing 500 vertical metres. PS2 starts from the Lago Azzurro lift station. The first section of the trail is like a pumptrack and riders will need to work the bike through the section to carry speed. It then enters a new natural section, before arriving in the town of Madesimo at the start/finish area.
Riders will then head back out to make a second loop of the route.

Details for how to register are available on the Superenduro website: www.superenduromtb.com/registration Riders must follow these guidelines or they will not be able to register for the race. Entry fee €30.00 until 20.00 on April 12, after that it is €35 until registration closes at 09:00 on the day of the event.
Riders without a current race license can register, but they will need to buy an FCI day card at a cost of €5 (these are available at the race office on the day of the race). They must also have a valid cycle racing medical certificate issued by an Italian doctor, in order to register for the race.

Perfect snow in winter and endless sunshine in summer. These two things have made Madesimo a popular holiday destination since the 19th Century. Perching at 1,550m above sea-level in the Upper Spluga Valley the town sits on Italy’s border with Switzerland. In summer 2011 they opened their doors and ski lifts to mountain bikers for the first time.
For years there has been a network of natural trails running down to the Passo Spluga, but in 2011 we opened our first gravity trails. These new trails are all accessed by the Larici gondola and maintained by the Comune of Madesimo.
