TRAILS DESCRIPTION
“The mule tracks of Scarlino hills are our battleground. Ancient paths traveled by the Etruscans, bandits, coal miners and bikers …” says Thomas Daddi, biker of Superenduro and president of the Bandite Bike Park ASD.
This is his advice.
“The bottom is mostly soft land and rocks in steeper sections. Some trails are suitable for pump trakcs experts and other for DH. Il minimo comune denominatore è un tracciato naturale. The lowest common denominator is a natural path. If you find a bank, this is carved in the rock. If you find a double, there are waves in the ground. If you find a drop be carefull… because there are so many trees!”

PSS : If anyone is asking: what about the saturday secret stage? The answer is all by itself. You won’t have any information about it until saturday evening. As a secret we will not advance you anyting!

SPECIAL STAGES Sunday 26

The PS1 is known as “Sassarelli. Some parts are very DH oriented: incoherent rocks, but not moving stones.
Long, powerful, fast.
Length. 2,3km; Height difference. 260mt

La PS2 è la più lunga, le doti che alcuni racers hanno sviluppato in una pump track permetteranno di andare via in scioltezza nei tratti guidati fra le frasche di macchia mediterranea. The PS2 is the longest, the qualities that some racers have developed in pump tracks will help in tecnical parts through the mediterranean scrub.
Length. 3,1km; Height difference. 430mt ; a couple of short sections of uphill.

The PS3 and PS4 are in the same path. To deal with greater clarity all the way, the organization has chosen to divide it into two parts of equal distance and height difference (more or less). The first shows at a certain point a bend with an insertion of a gap in the rock that will bring some of you to reflect (we already see many of you are studying that passage!). Then comes some banks of stone, curves and fast sections that lead to the conclusion of the fourth and final PS.
Length. 1,0km; Height difference. 180mt (PS3) + Length. 1,1km; Height difference 140mt; a few km of light descent to the sea. Then beer and other Tuscan specialties at Restaurant / Bar Sea! See you there!

Note: transfers are mostly on gravel road and some sections require a crown of 22 or 24 front.

RACE INSCRIPTION:
The entry fee is set at 30 euros by September 23, 2010.
To subscribe to the secretariat of the event on Saturday 26 and Sunday, September 26 the price will be increased by 5 euros (35 euros total).
How to apply: Registrations for the stage of Punta Ala can be made on-site Saturday afternoon or on Sunday morning or through the website www.superenduromtb.com.
If you register online not later than 20:00 on Thursday 23 September the fee is set at EUR 30 (25Euro per category Sports Promo). After this date toy can make the inscription at the secretary of the race on Saturday or Sunday and the price will be increased by 5 Euro (total 35Euro - 30euro for Sport Promo category).
Via the online form you can only make one inscription for time. To validate the registration is necessary to send the payment receipt, attaching the file via the registration page and specify the number of transfers in the appropriate box. In case you want to make a payment for multiple subscriptions just send a single receipt, but you must indicate the number of transfers in the subsequent entries.
Entries which do not show the number of transfer will not be accepted. For additional security is recommended to have the transfer receipt during the weekend of competition at the examination passes.

HOW TO GET THERE
To reach Punta Ala by car from Genova or Firenze take the motorway (A12) to Livorno until you reach Rosignano Marittimo. Continue on the highway for Grosseto-Rome (SS 1) and exit to Follonica Nord.
Follow for Punta Ala / Castiglione della Pescaia on the SP158. At the traffic light of “Puntone” continue for 6 miles and pass the location Pian d’Alma.
At the crossroad turn right for Punta Ala on the SP 61.
After about 2 km turn right again following signs for PuntAla Camping Resort.
Follow the road for approximately 2 km and you will find the entrance on your left.

From Rome, take the motorway in direction Civitavecchia. At the end of the motorway, take the SS1 towards Grosseto / Livorno. Exit at Grosseto Nord and follow the road for Castiglione della Pescaia.
Drive through the town following the signs for Punta Ala / Follonica.
After about 13 km along the SP158 at the junction of Punta Ala, turn left onto the SP 61.
After about 2 km turn right following signs for PuntAla Camping Resort.
Follow the road for approximately 2 km and you will find the entrance on your left.

You can reach Punta Ala by train but you must get off at Follonica and then take the bus to Punta Ala. N.B. The bus shedule will change after the 13 of September and the runs will be only during the weekend.
