Just over a week to wait for the third round of the 2018 Superenduro season. A very important event also for the international scene, as it is going to be the debut race of the newly born EWS European Series.
As we write, athletes from 13 countries have already entered the event and we are sure the 2018 Val di Fassa Drop Down Superenduro is going to be a sell-out.

The race course (click here for map) is exciting: 5 Special Stages, about 2200 m of vertical drop and 40 km of distance. The transfer stages are going to be partially pedalled, along roads that already belong to Giro d’Italia and the history of cycling, and partially uplifted, thanks to the service provided by SITC (Società Incremento Turistico Canazei – Canazei’s company for tourism promotion). This will help gain height while enjoying breathtaking views over the Dolomite mountains.
Two of the Special Stages are quite long and extremely diverse. At last the race will run along the Rodella ridge, a thrilling, very long hilltop that for various reasons has never been part of the race course during the previous editions of the event; this year it is what will make PS2 4,8km long.
Two of the remaining Special Stages will be shorter, not short of challenges though: very technical and, above all, just cut. This means that the terrain will change a lot during the days of practice.
The last Special will run in town, throughout the streets of Canazei, with a ‘classic’ finish in the middle of the paddock area, surrounded by enthusiasts and spectators.
On the Race Document you can find all the technical specs of the special stages and the detailed schedule.

We’d like to remind all riders that Open Practice will begin on Saturday the 16th of June, with uplifts in operation for the whole week, between 8:30 and 17:30.
The bikepass – uplift ticket – is valid, this year, for all lifts that will be used during the race. During the days of practice, you’ll be able to purchase a daily ticket (at a price of 31 euros) or a two-day ticket (at the discounted price of 52 euros) at the ticket office which is located within the bottom station facilities.
The race-weekend bikepass (Saturday/Sunday) will be for sale (at 15 euros) from the afternoon of Friday the 22nd of June, at Fassasport offices, in Canazei (Via streda dolomites 147, behind the stage).

For Teams and Exhibitors the set-up of the spaces is planned from 9:00 to 19:00 on Thursday and Friday. For more information please contact expo@superenduromtb.com.
