1. DEFINITION
Supermountain is a new mountain bike race format. It is not an enduro or cross-country competition. A Supermountain race will be mainly downhill, the trails will be of a technical nature and with no more than 10% of the total length of the track uphill. Racing is in two stages: one day of qualifying, followed by a day of compeition.

2. CATEGORIES
The categories are defined by the Italian Cycling Federation, professional female and male, amateur female and male, youth female and male aged 15 years and up (students). And ‘The participation of registered members from the local promotion. Rookies are not allowed categories Men and Women (year of birth 98/99)

3. PROGRAM COMPETITIONS
The races will be over two days. During the first day of competition qualification will be made my the following method:
Timing will be active on the trail for at least four hours and every rider will be automatically timed. At the end of the day qualifying positions will be awarded based on those times for inclusion in the race start and choice of starting position.
The race programme will follow this approximate schedule:
Day one
From 08:00 to 10:00 verifying cards
From 10:00 to 15:00 qualification
Day Two
From 08:00 to 09:00 verifying cards
From 08:30 to 09:30 qualifications
From 11:00 First race runs
From 14:00 Second race runs
Schedules for timed training, qualification and race times will vary at the discretion of the race organisers depending on the local infrastructure and numbers of participating athletes.

3. EQUIPMENT
Throughout the race, including practice and qualifying, CE-approved helmets, full-finger gloves, knee protectors and back protectors must are mandatory.

4. BICYCLE
During practice, qualifying and the race any bike is allowed

5. STARTING ORDER
The starting grid will be defined according to qualifying times.
Each grid will consist of a maximum of 200 runners, each line will have a maximum of 20 riders.
The interval lines starting will be about 10 minutes.
Athletes who for any reason unable to take part in qualifying will be included in the last row of the race.
The women’s category races will start after the men’s categories.
The grids will be the same for both race runs on Sunday.
The winner will be the rider who has the highest points total from the two heats of racing.
If two athletes finish on equal points, the winner will be the rider with the fastest combined time over the two heats.

6. CLASSIFICATION
A final ranking will be drawn from the Supermountain races, based on the total points won in each race. All races on the calendar will count towards this ranking. In the event of a tie, the winner will be decided by the results of the last race.

7. STANDINGS AND PRIZES
There will be two absolute rankings: one for competitive categories one for the amateur categories. This will be extracted from the categories: Open Men, Open Women, Junior, Student Male/Female, Women’s Amateur, Elite, Master 1-2 , Master 3-4-5-6.
Prize and prize money (if applicable) will be awarded to the top five athletes in the absolute rankings and the top three athletes in each category.

9. COMPLAINTS
Complaints about the conduct of the races, classifications, the behavior of other competitors and any other type of issue must be submitted in writing and signed the race director no more than half an hour after the release of the publication of the classifications. The cost of a claim is set at € 50, which will be returned if the complaint is accepted. The race director will communicate the decision within 60 minutes of the presentation of a claim. The organising committee will meet immediately on-site to adjudicate the complaint before the awards ceremony. The organising committee consists of the race director and the director of the local organisation.

10. INSURANCE
Every single race SUPERMOUNTAIN will be registered with the FCI calendar (Italian Cycling Federation) and therefore covered by FCI insurance. Superenduro A.S.D may not be held responsible for any accidents that may occur during a Supermountain compeition.
