The race start is located in the main square of the Event Village, in the Entreves neighbourhood of La Thuile To reach the start of Special Stage 1 riders will use two different lifts: Bosco Express first and Chalet Express straight after. Once on top, a short pedalled Transfer will take them to the start of the Stage.
PS 1 Cambogia
This Stage, the one of all Stages that is really open to personal interpretation, will present the riders with a physical challenge due to its overall length and to the steep gradients, especially in the second half.
Upon reaching the finish of Special Stage 1, the riders will pedal a mellow transfer section where they will reach once again the Bosco Express lift. The lift will take them back up straight to the start of Special Stage 2, La Fresa.
PS 2 La Fresa
This the shortest Stage in the whole round. In spite of that, in its central section the riders will face ‘the Fresa Wall’: they will need to be sharp there…and those who will get it wrong will need to walk it all!
After Special Stage 2, a short Transfer will take the riders to a Time Control.
Once the Time Control has been completed, Bosco Express and Chalet Express lifts will take the riders up to the start of Special Stage 3, via a short hike-a-bike section.
PS 3 La Serva
This is the trail with the greatest flow in the whole round: pure fun down to the neighbourhood of Pont Serrand. The Stage highlight will be the very special passage of ‘the bridge under the bridge but over the water’ 😉
After Stage 4 there is the only pedalled Transfer of the race. Using Piccolo San Bernardo road and then La Tour road the riders will reach the area of the avalanche barriers on top of the famous Franco Berthod ski slope, where the final Special Stage starts.
PS 4 – HD
This is the final Stage and it will present the riders with some serious technical challenges and a final ramp on

HOW TO GET HERE
La Thuile is easily accessible from both France and Valle d’Aosta. The nearest airports are those of Turin and Geneva. Teams and riders driving from Aosta need to leave the motorway at Morgex exit and follow directions to ‘Pre St. Didier’ first and ‘La Thuile’ later on.
CAUTION! DO NOT FOLLOW SAT-NAV AS IT USUALLY INDICATES THE ROUTE TO ‘COLLE SAN CARLO’. It is a narrow, steep, winding road, not the best choice for TEAM vehicles and trucks.
Teams and riders driving from Mont Blanc Tunnel need to take the Courmayeur exit and then follow directions to ‘Pre St. Didier’ first and ‘La Thuile’ later on. Teams and riders driving from Passo del Piccolo, need to follow the ‘Funivie’ signs as soon as they reach La Thuile.
