The third round of the Superenduro powered by SRAM Series is scheduled for the weekend of 25th-26th June and it promises to be an unmissable event, a key race for the the overall 2016 rankings and a fantastic moment of entertainment, thanks to a number of side activities that will create quite a stir in the little town of Canazei, starting on Thursday 23rd June when the WOW ladies will be there as well.
In the heart of the Dolomites, with some of the most spectacular rocky peaks as a backdrop, five Special Stages and a really special Superenduro round, quite unique again, will take place. Something different from the two previous rounds of Massa Marittima and Varazze.
At Canazei most of the elevation gain will be done by lifts. The riders will use four of them during the whole race. Thanks to this bit of logistics, the organizers have been able to put together a really cracking race, with amazing PSs spread out over a very wide area, on different mountain faces, with an uphill-pedalling-to-downhill-fun ratio really good for all gravity lovers.
This could also mean a change within the line-up of athletes that have been able to have a say in the Series up to now, especially considering that the race is valid as an EWS Qualifier and many racers from across the Alps are expected to show up. Together with a number of ready-to-fight local riders that will join the race as it is also the final round of the Triveneto Enduro Series.

Guest of honour Tracy Moseley, who will be present at the event as well. She does know what proper riding means and she will be coaching the riders of the ladies-only event WOW, together with another exceptional godmother: Paola Pezzo, multiple medallist at Olympics and MTB World Championships.
Canazei Superenduro powered by SRAM represents the halfway point of the 2016 season that up to now has been dominated by Vittorio Gambirasio with 1020 points in the overall, followed by Marco Milivinti at 800 and Nicola Casadei at an upswing 670. Slightly behind but still dangerous Marcello Pesenti, fourth with 610 points and really in form since his last performance at Varazze, where he got third, followed by two consistent and skilled riders, such as Alex Lupato fifth with 600 points and Matteo Raimondi sixth with 520.
In women’s the gaps are much smaller, especially within the top positions. Laura Rossin is leading with 900 points, followed by Louise Paulin with 680 and Sara De Leo with 660. Slightly behind Chiara Pastore and Valentina Macheda respectively at 480 and 450 points.

During these last days the Fassa Bike local crew is busy around Canazei, working hard on trails to prepare a racecourse that will be new in most of its tracks, and on the trophies, which will be very special! And the town is buzzing as well, with staff building the new spectators’ stage right in the middle of the square that will host the start/finish area.
Superenduro is happy to remind everyone that the racecourse, with gps tracks and Special Stages onboard videos, will be made official on Friday 17th, just in time to give everyone the chance of practising the PSs during the weekend.
