Riders will compete for the coveted tricolor jersey this weekend. Pogno (NO) will play host to the third race of the PRO Superenduro Powered by SRAM series and the race is the Italian National Championship where the red, white and green champions’ jersey will be won. Local clubs, MTB i Gufi, Team Locca and Cicobikes have created a masterpiece of trail building that will make this a fun race for the almost 400 riders who have signed up to compete.
Unfortunately Marco Rodolico’s comeback has been cut short. He feel hard in training and will not be fit in time to compete this weekend. British rider Paul Aston has been looking strong all season, but a hand injury means he will be watching rather than racing this weekend. Everyone at Superenduro wishes them a speedy recovery.

While the Italian competition will be tough, there will be a big international element, with more than thirty riders registered from Germany, France, Switzerland, Slovenia and England. Downhill legend Nico Vouilloz will be taking part in his first PRO race of the year and you cannot bet against a man who has won ten downhill world championships standing on that top step come Sunday. His ever-fast countryman, Karim Amour, will also be on the starting list. Al Stock is coming of a win in the UK’s Gravity Enduro series and a second at the last round in Punta Ala. Swiss rider, Lukas Anrig, also went well at Punta Ala and will be looking to get on the podium this weekend.

Just for foreign riders, the organisers will provide free services at the Theroem Cureggio sports medical centre (15 km from Pogno) on Saturday. Athletes will be able to enjoy a free shuttle to the center, from 14.30 to 17.00.
The level of competition will be high and the fight to take the tricolor jersey from Andrea Bruno will be close. Pogno is the home of the hard-charging Davide Sottocornola, and he will definitely want to press home that advantage. It’s set to be a thrilling weekend.
