Not yet dropped the adrenaline for the success of the previous races of St. Bartolomeo and Pogno, which currently sign for the circuit the record of starters with a total of over 750 competitors, we are back to announce what you might call a second beginning of the SuperEnduro 2011, with the first gripping PRO in Sestri Levante, scheduled for 16th and 17th of April!
Sestri is a place that needs no introduction, is the perfect scenario for opening the PRO races, also able to give the right boost to the season, with tough and selective special stages and demanding transfers, but at the same time warm and welcoming with the spectacular departure from the Lungomare delle Rimembranze crowded with spectators and stand.

Be careful. Keep your eyes fixed on the track and do not get caught by “visions” of the sunsets along the ridges of the mountains. The terrain of Sestri can be very tricky, with technical sections even on rocks, well mixed with quick strokes to drive with the right pace, for a total of four special stages, 43.8 km of length and 1,400m of vertical drop.
For the 2011 innovations we have to thank the guys of the Polisportiva dei Vigili del Fuoco of Genoa with the cooperation of Tregin Bike Bargone and M.K.F. of Sestri Levante. The excellent preparatory work done on the routes in recent months has enabled the opening of a new special stage named “Ca Gianca” (PS1), 1.700m long with 290m of altitude drop, and two new sections on paths S. Anna (PS4) and Mimosa (PS2) which give these two already difficult paths the name “Super” … both with a length of over 4km and altitude drop of over 400m.

The bike must be well tuned if you want to save precious energy for the race and the ones who make the best choices will certainly enjoy the benefits, perhaps to push long the last special stage, right above the sea, relying on the weariness of others, who knows?
The beginning of the season showed an apparent equilibrium in the rankings, with many athletes in good conditions and ready to assert their capabilities in the different sections of the course, in favor of the competition.
Scheduled for 15:00 on Saturday, the enjoyable Trophy “MECI” – Competition “Mini Enduro” for elementary school children – and of course at 18:30 get ready for the spectacular SuperEnduro prologue, in which competitors will descend from the heart of Sestri Levante through cobbled streets, stairways and the famous stretch of beach in Portobello Bay, ending in Piazza Matteotti.
Sestri Levante is once again hosting the first PRO stage of the season, the third event of the 2011 SuperEnduro year. One of the most popular locations of the circuit is ready to surprise everyone again.
