SUPERENDURO AND BIKE-UP, ALL E-MTB NEWS FOR 2017

The rounds of Canazei and La Thuile will be very special for E-Bikes: besides having their own racing category, they will be hosted in a specific space within the exhibition area and they will form part of a unique offer, with a tourist twist.

The E-MTB front is on fire all over the world. The potential is enormous and it is obvious to everyone: these machines can excite the most competitive athletes and at the same time they do talk to the least fit riders; up to the point that they can all ride together.
With this vision Superenduro and BikeUP, the leading bike-show in Italy when it comes to electric bikes, have joined forces: their partnership will make very special the rounds of Canazei and La Thuile, on the 18th of June and 16th of July respectively.
Superenduro has embraced most of the Italian Cycling Federation rules and regulations regarding E-MTBs, making a few minor changes regarding the race format. As an example, E-MTBs will compete over the whole race course, no longer over a shortened version, not to miss a single meter of adrenaline and fun. At the same time Superenduro shares the vision of the BikeUp staff and strongly believes that the merit of E-Bikes goes beyond as they can offer a wide range of experiences: visiting and sightseeing the region is a good example.

“We are very happy to be present at two of the Superenduro rounds: starting this year, the weekends of Canazei and La Thuile will be able to offer to enthusiasts and visitors not only a big show and a lot of adrenaline, but also tours in the saddle of e-bikes and experiences within the reach of all, to make everyone discover the region in a very enjoyable and exciting way. On top of this, a busy village with a number of demo e-bikes and important e-bike manufacturers showing their products” says Stefano Forbici from BikeUp.
Since its first edition, Superenduro has fostered the venues where the rounds are taking place, connecting each competition, every time, with its local context and giving to it the special flavour of the hosting region.
Today, together with BikeUp, it aims at putting together events that are even more complete and interesting for venues and businesses; more engaging and accessible for a diverse audience, which is often quite vast and not interested in the technicalities and in the competitive side of the sport.
This is why two important initiatives like BikeUp Circus and TrailUp come together. They will be running side by side with the Superenduro race during the Canazei and La Thuile rounds and they have been created for the public who want to know the region from the tourist’s point of view.
BikeUP Circus will offer a unique opportunity to see and – more important – to test pedalec bikes. BikeUp Circus will be integrated within the Superenduro exhibition area and together they will power up a great Event Village, packed with energy and excitement, where everyone will be able to become familiar and gain a better understanding of the MTB world, E-MTBs included.

During the BikeUP Circus days, another special event will also take place: TrailUp, an e-bike experience aimed at exploring the region, with expert guides who will lead their guests on half-day rides with a tourist format offering a fulfilling and enjoyable experience. TrailUP is far more than a demo ride on pedalecs: it is a true experience in the saddle of an e-bike that will take you to the region’s unique spots, discovering history, culture and gastronomic treasures.
