Less than ten days before the first round of this new Superenduro season, the race course is finally unveiled. And it has undergone a radical change.

After several weeks of trail work, the Sanremo Bike Resort crew has re-established and opened new sections of trails: this has made it possible to redesign the course, increasing vertical drop and length of Special Stages, reducing at the same time the total amount of uphill pedalling. Special Stages become 4 instead of 5, but we are now talking of 1700 meters of total vertical drop during the Special Stages and 1600 meters of pedalled uphill. The shuttle prepared for the first transfer stage will relieve 11 km and 690 m of climbing and will depart from San Giacomo, near the golf course.
In addition, Sanremo Superenduro is going to be a round – the first race after quite a long time actually – with no Time Control (CO – Controllo Orario): for this reason all riders will have to be self-sufficient while racing, with no mechanical assistance. Sanremo has some rugged terrain on offer and so it will be extremely important to preserve the machine, avoiding mechanicals that could easily compromise the race for good.
For what concerns E-bikes, they will race over the full course length and will have their charging station at the road corner ‘Marzocco’, where a feed zone will also be available.
To all riders: please keep in mind that during this coming weekend many trail builders will still be at work on trails!
Online registration will be open until Thursday 19 April, at 20:00
